NSJ - Original Pearl Jewellery

Care Instructions

Pearl Care

Wear Them Often: Pearls benefit from your body's natural oils, which help keep them hydrated and prevent them from drying out.
Restringing Periodically: Restringing pearl jewellery every 3-5 years avoids breakage.
Avoid Contact With Chemicals: Pearls are sensitive to chemicals found in cosmetics, hairsprays, perfumes, and household cleaners. Apply these products before putting on your pearls to avoid exposure.
Clean After Wearing: Wipe your pearls with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear to remove any oils or residues. For a deeper clean, use a damp cloth with lukewarm water and gently wipe them down. Avoid using soaps or cleaning agents.
Proper Storage: Store pearls in a soft cloth pouch or a lined jewelry box to prevent them from scratching or being scratched by other jewelry. Ideal would be to store them in the packaging provided by NSJ.
Avoid Water Exposure: Don't wear pearls while swimming, showering, or in saunas. Prolonged exposure to water can weaken the silk/parachute thread and affect the pearl's luster.

Metal Care

Keep It Dry: Avoid wearing your metal jewellery in the shower or while swimming. Prolonged exposure to water can damage the material and dull its finish.
Protect Its Shine: Before applying soap, perfume, moisturiser, sunscreen, or other sprays and creams, remove your jewellery. These products can tarnish and weaken the shine of your pieces over time.
Steer Clear Of Humidity: Do not store your jewellery in bathrooms or other humid spaces. Excess moisture can cause metal to tarnish and lose its lustre.
Storage Tips: Ideal would be to store them in NSJ packaging that comes along with the product. Always store jewellery separately to prevent scratches.
Handle With Care: Avoid dropping your jewellery on hard surfaces, as the impact may damage, weaken, or even break it. Treat your pieces gently to ensure they last longer.
